As an L1 NOC Engineer, your role will involve monitoring leased line links, WAN, LAN, and backbone infrastructure through NMS tools. You will be responsible for real-time network monitoring, identifying outages, packet drops, latency, or performance degradation. Additionally, you will log incidents, update ticketing systems, and provide first-level troubleshooting by performing tasks such as ping, traceroute, and checking device/interface status. In case of unresolved issues, you will escalate them to L2/L3 engineers or ISP/vendor as per defined SOP. Moreover, you will coordinate with telecom carriers/service providers for fault resolution, follow shift rosters in a 24x7 support environment, maintain daily network health check reports, shift handover logs, ensure SLA compliance, and proper incident documentation.
