Mechanical Service Engineer

While expertise in renewable energy is ideal, we welcome applications from other industries if you have at least three years’ relevant experience. What You’ll Do Day-to-Day

• Competently operate both primary and secondary test equipment. - Diagnose and resolve issues on mechanical equipment, pipework, and flow systems. - Maintain plant assets for clients, including pumps, submersible mixers, motors, SCADA, heat exchangers, gas storage, sensors, valves, and safety systems. - Fault-find and maintain mechanical systems such as de-packaging equipment, solid feeders, conveyors, heating systems, valves, and more. - Deliver both planned and reactive maintenance on a variety of mechanical equipment. - Implement measures to enhance plant reliability, efficiency, and performance, ensuring all work is completed safely and efficiently. What We’re Looking For

• Minimum Level 3 qualification in a mechanical engineering discipline. - At least three years in a mechanical service or maintenance role—experience in the renewable energy sector is a plus, but not essential. - Full UK driving licence. - Strong competency in mechanical engineering. - Proactive, self-starting approach with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. - ‘Can do’ attitude and commitment to delivering work right the first time. - Excellent understanding of Safe Systems of Work (SSOW) including Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS). - PC literate with effective communication skills via email and MS Office. - Ability to manage site commissioning records in an organised manner. - Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
