Your responsibilities will include owning the product detail, catching edge cases, resolving ambiguity, and ensuring the team always knows what to build next and why it matters. You will collaborate closely with the Product Engineer and report to the CTO. This is not a project management role but a product management position focused on the substance of what gets built. Key Responsibilities:
Turn high-level product direction into detailed, buildable requirements such as user stories, acceptance criteria, edge cases, and boundary conditions
Own the backlog across engagements, ensuring each item has a clear problem statement, defined scope, and prioritization rationale
Catch discrepancies between client requirements and team understanding to prevent wasted sprints
Write structured specifications that engineers respect and can easily follow
Own sprint planning and execution, deciding sprint content based on the product roadmap, team capacity, and client priorities
Resolve ambiguous requirements mid-sprint to keep development on track
Conduct productive sprint ceremonies that lead to real decisions, not just process compliance
Monitor delivery quality and speed to ensure successful outcomes
Collaborate with designers to ensure designs are buildable and aligned with the product vision
Maintain client communication to ground product decisions in direct client feedback and business context
Identify and communicate product risks and scope questions to the Product Engineer before they escalate
Clearly articulate trade-offs to clients in understandable language
