The HSE Advisor provides on‑site and project support to implement and maintain Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) requirements in accordance with project, legislative, client, and company standards. Reporting to the HSE Lead, this role supports the execution of the project HSE Management System by assisting with risk management activities, site compliance, inspections, monitoring, training, and incident management across all phases of the project lifecycle. Working closely with site delivery teams, supervisors, subcontractors, and the broader project team, the HSE Advisor plays a key role in ensuring day‑to‑day activities, materials, equipment, and services are undertaken safely, risks are controlled, and environmental obligations are met. Provide day‑to‑day HSE advice and guidance to site teams and subcontractors. Assist with mobilisation, construction, commissioning, and demobilisation HSE activities. Support the HSE Lead in maintaining site HSE standards and expectations. Participate in hazard identification, risk assessments, and control implementation. Review Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS), JSAs, and permits to work. Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and safety walks. Assist with incident, near‑miss, and hazard reporting. Support investigations, evidence collection, and root cause analysis. Support HSE contractor onboarding and site induction activities. Maintain site HSE records, permits, registers, and inspection reports. You'll have; Certificate IV or Diploma in Work Health & Safety, Environmental Management, or related discipline (or working towards). Experience in an HSE Advisor or HSE Officer role on construction, infrastructure, mining, or renewable energy projects. Working knowledge of Australian and Queensland WHS and environmental legislation. Experience working on active construction sites in remote environments. Familiarity with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 management systems. Competency in incident reporting and HSE documentation. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Willingness to travel FIFO.
