Major Duties: • Reviews internal/external regulatory change notifications from Global regulators for initial determination of applicability, rationalization, and to assign next steps • Communicates with stakeholders to facilitate information flow, assign next steps, and document rationale • Manages impact assessment process, which includes assignment, review, and reporting; provides due diligence oversight of global impact assessment process. • Compiles and maintains project tracking for Compliance governance committee reporting and to identify/escalate issues • Contributes to the maintenance of internal regulatory inventory as it pertains to regulatory change • General support of the internal Compliance Management application that facilitates regulatory change, including maintaining training materials and recommending procedural/system changes, and support of the larger enterprise regulatory change framework • Works on special projects, advise on and implement process efficiencies • Gathers and analyzes data to identify and solve complex problems that arise with little or no precedent • Impacts own team and other teams whose work activities are closely related; suggests improvements to existing processes and solutions to improve the efficiency of the team Knowledge: • Familiarity with law and regulation hierarchy/structure and global regulators, with interest in continued development • Comfort managing a large amount of data that would translate to oversight of a regulatory inventory and related processes • Experience using an array of applications including Excel, database, and reporting applications (automated workflow familiarity a plus) with the ability to continue to improve and refine skills independently • Analytical and communication skills required to analyze and summarize information • Flexibility and organizational skills required to address a variety of tasks and coordinate multiple compliance activities • Process efficiency comprehension, collaborative nature, and advanced attention to detail • Requires advanced or specialized skills and expertise in a range of processes, procedures and systems • Understands how related teams coordinate their efforts and resources to achieve objectives • Exchanged ideas and information effectively with others outside of own team and evaluates and communicates unusual and/or complex content in a clear manner Experience: • A College or University degree and/or relevant proven work experience is required • 3-5 years related experience Working with Us: As a Northern Trust partner, greater achievements await.
