As an Ansible Consultant at NTT DATA, your role involves utilizing your experience and good understanding of the Ansible Automation Tool. Your key responsibilities include:
Performing rule request intake and approval process, ensuring business requirements meet technical expectations and adhere to documented guidelines
Working on the creation of new security policies, reviewing and enabling scanning via Ansible on Hadoop Application & Services
Communicating effectively with the business regarding any variances from technical specifications or follow-up questions on rule requirements
Analyzing and assessing production violations against benchmark expectations and identifying candidates for maturing existing rules
Ensuring timely generation of Ansible reports within defined SLAs
Acquiring a thorough understanding of process procedures, keeping abreast of changes, and efficiently communicating them to the team
Reviewing current practices and initiating process improvements for better response times and performance
Involvement in configuration baseline rule creation via Ansible, setting up rules to run periodically, and publishing reports
Utilizing DevOps tooling knowledge to identify potential false positives, non-events, or anomalies in policies and rules
Generating reports and metrics for management and analyzing event analysis results for short-term responses and long-term trending
Implementing policies and procedures in all concerned business areas to ensure audit requirements are met and adhering to security and compliance standards
Building and maintaining positive relationships with all parties, sharing knowledge and experience with colleagues, and providing assistance on technical issues
Reviewing solution designs from a security perspective and demonstrating good knowledge of different layers of security, Hadoop components, and cloud architecture
Qualifications required for this role include:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
7-10 years of relevant experience in IT Security
Ability to understand and interpret numeric data
Building and maintaining cordial relationships using diplomacy and interpersonal skills
Minimum of two years of Information Technology/IT Security experience or equivalent
Good understanding of Data Security/Data Privacy policies and standards
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Management Information Systems, Engineering, or related technical field
Ability to identify problems, assess risk, and implement solutions to defend against security threats
Very good understanding of Ansible to run jobs independently
Conducting internal audits regularly to evaluate compliance to controls and suggest remediations
Good to have certifications related to security role (e.g., CEH, CCNA Security, CISSP)
