Job Description Facilities Maintenance Technician Kraft Heinz Company Mason, OH The Kraft Heinz Company is currently seeking Maintenance Technician/Electrician to work in Facilities Maintenance department in Mason, OH. Successful candidates must be willing to contribute improvements suggestions and ideas to help continue the success of our facility. Ideal candidates must be safety and quality orientated along with demonstrate adaptability and willingness to work in a team orientated, fast paced work environment. This position requires individuals to perform maintenance in a food manufacturing environment following strict quality and safety standards. Currently hiring for 3rd shift (Sunday through Thursday 1030pm- 630am) positions. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent is required. Candidates must be available to work all shifts including first, second, third & weekends and holidays Ability to lift and carry 25 – 50 lbs. on a regular basis. Outstanding attendance record. Strong attention to detail with the ability to call out defects and adhere to Quality standards. Responsibilities & Duties: May include, but isn't limited to: Receives instructions and duty assignments from maintenance supervisor or lead mechanic Ownership and responsibility for assigned equipment and plant areas; will submit input to lead mechanic on current or potential problems in the areas of Safety, Quality, Equipment condition/performance and Building Fabric Follow through on agreed actions to include parts procurement and scheduling Understand the customer/supplier relationship, both internal and external Measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble and install electrical conduit using measuring devices, hand tools, pipe threader and conduit bender Install power supply wiring and conduit for newly installed machines and equipment following electrical code and blueprints Troubleshoot malfunctioning apparatus and replace damaged material (wire, cables, etc.) Troubleshoot and repair equipment effectively Perform PM's On a regular basis, will submit input to supervisor or lead on current or potential problems on all building machinery and equipment Assist with Projects to include Building Fabric repair / modifications Equipment installations Utility installation (Electrical, Steam, Air, Process Piping) Perform all tasks observing regulations / policies and needs for Safety, Quality, GMP's, customer needs and workmanship Administration duties to include daily audits, parts orders and work orders; must be filled out accurately Must have own hand tools Continued education Work overtime as needed Cross-training Other duties as assigned. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent is required. Prior experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred. Experience in a GMP/regulated industry is a plus! Preferred attended and completed vocational and/or training courses in basic electricity and pneumatics, hydraulics, steam, pump repair and/or three years' experience working in a maintenance environment with electric and pneumatics Worked in a production environment using mechanical, electrical and pneumatic trouble-shooting skills; high speed packaging and processing equipment experience is a plus! Familiar with electrical and pneumatic control logic, photo-cell operation, heat controllers, etc. Have an excellent attendance and work record Ability to read machine prints and perform machine repair Hands on experience in installation of piping systems (air, water, steam), industrial electrical installations and control circuits Excellent mechanical aptitude to trouble shoot and repair related equipment Welding experience a plus, especially in food process piping (ARCH-TIG-MIG) Must pass entrance assessment ARC flash training a plus Ability to lift and carry 25 – 50 lbs on a regular basis. Ability to stay cool and calm under pressure and balance changing priorities with ease. Outstanding attendance record. Focus on safety with a history of practicing safe work habits.
