Exercise technical leadership for high-impact projects
Advocate for and implement best practices in UX development, ensuring a seamless and consistent user experience across all our applications
Implement product features and provide support or work with backend engineers to define and integrate platform APIs
Mentor, document, and share knowledge as part of your immediate team as well as through Chime Engineering as a whole
Foster collaboration across engineering teams to create reusable, scalable solutions, contributing to architecture blueprints that benefit the entire organization. - Lead projects by defining timelines, managing scope, overseeing development, and ensuring quality
Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement by actively participating in sprint ceremonies and process refinement
Participate in a community of practice (guild) around how our frontend ecosystem is architected, developed, tested, deployed, and released. Foster the community’s creativity, innovation, and learning. - Engineers are required to participate in on-call rotation. Being on call may include responding to incidents outside of regular working hours when necessary. ## To thrive in this role, you have
Deep knowledge and ability to navigate all aspects of front-end development, with 6+ years of active web and/or mobile development experience with React, React Native and Typescript
Demonstrated ability to be a team player as well as a top-level individual contributor in a cross-functional environment, collaborating with engineers, designers and product managers
Work across the stack (React Native, Native iOS/Android, GraphQL API, CI/Build systems)
Familiarity with modern front-end build pipelines and tooling and web front end technologies and frameworks
Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate design decisions and rationale
Desire to drive engineering culture within your immediate team, as well as within the larger organization
Strong leadership skills and the ability to work with cross-functional partners to define requirements, manage scope, and execute on software projects
Proficiency in writing thorough and effective tests for your code, including unit tests and integration tests, along with experience in rolling out features through a gradual process, closely monitoring their impact and scaling up through a slow ramp to ensure stability and performance. #LI-Hybrid #LI-AA1
