This role is going to be the key in defining the robotics automation strategy and footprint for AWS manufacturing, as well as the implementation and scaling of the solutions. The role is also going to drive the continuous improvement efforts related with manufacturing layouts, process designs, assembly and testing procedures and actively working on improvement of productivity, cost reduction and quality improvements. ​​We are looking for a senior engineering leader to build and lead a central pillar of our Supply Chain Operations organization that spans Operations Management, Manufacturing, and Logistics. This team will leverage AWS Product Engineering (EC2, Annapurna, Network) specifications and engineer critical aspects of manufacturing and logistics operations – Process and Material layout design, Automation and Industrial Engineering. You will function as a multidisciplinary leader working on the intersection of engineering and operations in scale of new manufacturing facilities, site expansions and continuous improvements at existing sites. Possessing strong leadership, influencing skills, and technical depth are critical elements of success for this role. This leader will lead a team of engineers and technical program managers to establish manufacturing standards, deploy automation and publish process control guidelines to ensure flawless ramp into volume manufacturing.
