Key Responsibilities:
Full ownership of category P&L, including revenue, margins, inventory turns, and working capital. You will be responsible for driving top-line growth and bottom-line profitability across all channels (online, offline, home). - Build and execute the category growth roadmap, lead assortment planning, and define the right mix of core vs. fashion, trend-led vs. evergreen products. - Lead seasonal buying across geographies and channels, collaborate with vendors and design teams for trend-forward innovation, and ensure sufficient stock for high-performing styles. - Plan successful collection launches, collaborate with Marketing and Training teams, tailor assortments by store type and consumer profile, and manage the product lifecycle efficiently. - Monitor ROS, optimize store and warehouse distribution, recommend data-led pricing strategies, and conduct product trainings for store teams to boost conversions and engagement. - Own and manage product costing for healthy margins, maintain inventory discipline, and uphold Lenskart's quality promise by ensuring consistent product quality. Qualifications Required:
7+ years of relevant experience in category management, buying, or merchandising, with a preference for fashion industry experience. - Strong commercial acumen, understanding of consumer trends, and market insights. - Proven track record in P&L ownership and scaling categories. - High ownership mindset, collaborative and impact-oriented, data-driven, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. Role Overview: As a Category Lead at Lenskart, you will be the business owner of your designated category, playing a crucial role in driving exponential growth through product strategy, assortment planning, pricing, and margin management.
