Position Summary
The BOD (Basis of Design) Program Manager is responsible for the leadership, planning and execution of multiple high priority and/or strategic BOD Projects; high-flow production orders in an engineer to order environment. This role ensures that all Engineering-related milestones (Design Reviews, Design Releases, Production Readiness Reviews, etc.) are completed on time and to the highest standards of quality. The BOD Program Manager will lead, manage and collaborate cross-functionally among Sales, Engineering, Operations, and Senior Management.
Key Responsibilities
Lead cross-functional Project Teams, successfully driving projects to completion. - Collaborate and influence resources managers to implement, monitor, and maintain the resources capacity planning for their projects. - Schedule, facilitate, and document kickoff meetings, design reviews, and Production Readiness Reviews. - Track progress of design activities across electrical, mechanical, wiring, manufacturing and process engineering disciplines
Coordinate follow-up communications after Engineering release, ensuring Quality, Operations, and Sales have required documentation
Act as the central point of communication for Sales, Engineering, Operations, and Senior Management on BOD Project status and deliverables. - Coordinate with Operations to ensure production readiness: run the meeting, create punch lists, and follow up to resolution and provide formal notification to relevant stakeholders
Coordinate change management for customer-driven change notices and major design revisions. - Notify Senior Management and Engineering Leadership of gate review readiness and assist in lessons learned sessions for continuous process improvement
Report project performance to management stakeholders
Influence and support Project Management team members on best practices
Qualifications
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Program Management, or related field
5+ years of project management or related experience within an engineering or manufacturing environment
Demonstrated capability leading high complexity and/or strategic projects
Experience facilitating technical design reviews and manufacturing readiness assessments
Expert written and verbal communication skills
PMP (Project Management Professional) or equivalent certification a plus
Workplace Conditions

Compensation
