Technical Consultant - Snowflake Administrator

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as the ultimate technical authority for platform reliability, security, and governance
• Administer the underlying Snowflake infrastructure supporting multi-tenant SaaS applications
• Manage systems administration, secure network perimeters, automate identity lifecycles, and engineer cost-governance frameworks
• Define scalable data lakehouse architectures and coding standards
• Architect multi-cluster compute topologies and integrations with external compute engines
• Provide technical leadership to data engineers and lead data strategy workshops
• Implement FinOps monitoring, compute quotas, and warehouse right-sizing routines
• Perform root-cause analysis on platform contention issues

Qualifications Required:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field

• 9-12 years of core IT/Database Operations experience, with at least 5-7+ years as a Lead Snowflake Administrator or Cloud DBA

• Mastery of Snowflake's security models, resolving concurrency issues, and managing infrastructure bottlenecks

• Advanced scripting skills in Python, bash, SnowSQL for systems administration and automation

• Certifications in cloud administration like AWS SysOps/Azure Administrator are preferred Please note that this role requires a background in systems administration, database administration, or cloud infrastructure, and candidates with a primary background in Data Engineering or ETL development may not be suitable.
