As the Lead Engineer Project Management at Emerson's FLMC Motion Control Strategic Business Unit, you will be responsible for coordinating and delivering projects to ensure they are executed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in alignment with quality and governance standards. Your key responsibilities will include:
Developing and maintaining comprehensive project plans covering scope, schedules, resources, cost estimates, and risk management. - Leading project kickoff meetings and ensuring clear alignment with internal and external stakeholders. - Tracking and managing project execution using Emerson project management frameworks, tools, and governance processes. - Ensuring compliance with Emerson's quality, safety, and project execution standards. - Acting as the primary point of contact for customers throughout the project lifecycle. - Coordinating effectively with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Quality, Finance, Procurement, and Service. - Conducting regular project reviews, status updates, and customer presentations. - Managing project budgets, cost tracking, forecasting, and variance analysis. - Supporting vendor and subcontractor coordination in partnership with procurement teams. - Proactively identifying project risks and implementing mitigation and contingency plans. - Leading root cause analysis for project issues and driving timely corrective actions. - Maintaining project documentation including risk registers and ensuring timely escalation when required. - Mentoring junior team members and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. - Promoting a strong culture of safety, accountability, collaboration, and teamwork. To excel in this role, you should possess:
A degree in Mechanical or Electronics Engineering or a related field with relevant project management exposure. - Experience leading end-to-end projects in industrial automation, manufacturing, engineering services, or similar environments. - Strong understanding of New Product Development (NPD) stage-gate processes. - Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools such as MS Project, MS Office, Azure DevOps, Jira, or similar platforms. - Ability to manage budgets, schedules, risks, and stakeholder expectations effectively. - Strong communication, negotiation, and customer-handling skills. - Experience working in cross-functional and global team environments. - Alignment with Emerson's values, ethics, and commitment to safety. - A continuous learning mindset and openness to new ways of working.
