As a Manager in the Assurance team at Deloitte, your role will involve overseeing financial accounting, distribution, and tax reporting for the funds platform to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and investment management agreements. You will lead and mentor a team of finance professionals to create a collaborative and high-performing environment. Additionally, you will be responsible for providing accurate and timely financial reporting, including annual financial statements, regulatory reports, and tax filings. Building strong relationships with Fund Managers, Investment Managers, Valuations team, Tax team, and other key stakeholders will be crucial for providing financial guidance and support. Identifying and implementing process improvements within the Funds Finance team to enhance efficiency and effectiveness will also be part of your responsibilities. Furthermore, you will oversee audit processes, ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards, contribute to finance projects and initiatives, and collaborate effectively with the offshore team for seamless operations. Desired qualifications for this role include being a qualified CA or CFA along with a relevant tertiary qualification. You should have extensive work experience of 7-10 years in fund accounting or financial services with a strong understanding of investment management operations. The ability to develop and execute financial strategies aligned with business goals, strong leadership skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, in-depth knowledge of financial reporting, tax regulations, and investment management accounting principles, as well as the ability to prioritize, work on multiple assignments, and manage ambiguity are essential. Fluency in written & verbal English, being a team player with a proactive and results-oriented approach, and open and honest communication with clients and colleagues are also important qualities for this role.
