Experienced Software Engineer, Developer Company: The Boeing Company The Boeing Company is looking for an Experienced Software Engineer to join the National Systems Programs (NSP) software capability team located in Seal Beach, California. This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) business organization. The selected candidate will work perform full stack development using the AWS infrastructure. The ideal candidate has experience working across the tech stack with a solid understanding of software architecture, infrastructure tooling, and engineering fundamentals. The candidate will collaborate with cross functional teams and stakeholders to design and implement scalable software solutions, ensure engineering excellence, and achieve program objectives. Position Responsibilities: Develop, test, and maintain web applications that meet industry, customer, safety, and regulation standards. Review, analyze, and translate customer requirements into initial design of software products. Develop, maintain, enhance, and optimize software products and functionalities for systems integrations. Develop, document, and maintain architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces and designs for software products. Participate in the agile software development lifecycle including planning, reviews, and supporting customer meetings. Analyze, characterize, debug and resolve performance related issues to ensure reliability and efficiency of software products. Handle user inquiries, troubleshoot technical issues, and analyze user feedback. Implement current and emerging technologies, tools, frameworks, and changes in regulations relevant to software development. Develop, establish, monitor, and improve software processes, tools, and key performance metrics that align with organization goals and industry benchmarks. Execute and document software research and development projects. Advise on software domains, system-specific issues, processes and regulations. Perform software project management activities and software supplier management functions. Track and evaluate software team and supplier performance to ensure product and process compliance to project plans and industry standards. Perform cost benefit analysis to help guide technical solutions This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location. (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.) Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience): Bachelor's degree Active TS/SCI Security Clearance with adjudicated polygraph 2+ years' experience in foundation Computer Science knowledge 2+ years of experience in Python 2+ years of experience with JavaScript and/or Typescript including frameworks like React Preferred Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience): Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science and 5+ years of related work experience OR Bachelor's Degree and 9+ years of directly related work experience OR 13+ years of related, relevant experience Strong understanding of software architecture principles and design patterns Experience with relational databases Experience with software development using agile principles and a structured development process Experience in Infrastructure Tooling (Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD Pipelines) Experience in building out regression test suites Experience with systems engineering or software development on space-based or ground-based systems Travel: Occasional travel may be required but would be less than 10%.
