As an Anti-DDoS Network Support Engineer with expertise in NetScout solutions, your role will involve monitoring, analyzing, and mitigating DDoS attacks to safeguard critical infrastructure's availability and security. Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor Anti-DDoS tools for real-time detection of L3/L4/L7 attacks
- Identify and address volumetric, protocol, and application-layer attacks
- Utilize NetScout Arbor tools such as Peakflow, TMS, APS for mitigation
- Fine-tune mitigation policies to minimize false positives
- Handle P1/P2 security incidents and participate in bridge calls
- Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and ensure timely resolution within SLA
- Escalate complex issues to L3/vendor teams when necessary
- Monitor logs from Firewalls, IPS/IDS, and DDoS systems
- Correlate events using SIEM tools like Splunk or QRadar
- Implement configuration changes through change management processes
- Validate the efficacy of DDoS protection controls
- Troubleshoot issues related to TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, SSL
- Perform patching, upgrades, and health checks for security infrastructure
- Ensure high availability of security systems and support deployment of new DDoS solutions
- Design and implement enterprise DDoS protection architecture
- Serve as the final escalation point for critical incidents
- Drive automation and optimization of mitigation systems
