Infrastructure as Code: Design, build, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure using Terraform or CloudFormation. - CI/CD Leadership: Develop and optimize automated deployment pipelines that support our "Single Tool Chain" initiative. - Developer Enablement: Create self-service tools and service templates (scaffolding) to help application teams deploy their own services following best practices. - Reliability & Performance: Manage and scale our Kubernetes (EKS) environment, ensuring high availability and optimal performance. - Collaboration: Act as a bridge between development and operations, mentoring mid-level engineers and advocating for DevOps best practices across the sprint team. ### Necessary Skills and Experience
**Professional Experience:**7 to 12 years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or Software Engineering with a heavy infrastructure focus. - Coding Proficiency: Strong hands-on coding ability. While this role supports infrastructure, we treat our platform as a product. Proficiency in Java (for backend service integration) or Python/Go for automation is essential. - Cloud Expertise: Deep experience with AWS services, specifically EKS, ECS, S3, Lambda, and RDS. - Container Orchestration: Expert-level knowledge of and , including ingress controllers, networking primitives, and resource management. - Experience working with or implementing developer portals (like ) and GitOps workflows (e.g., or ). - Solid understanding of the SDLC, unit testing, and maintainable code practices. You don't just "write scripts"; you write production-grade automation. - Proven ability to lead technical projects
