As an Assistant Manager Finance & Accounting, you will be responsible for managing day-to-day financial operations, ensuring statutory compliance, and supporting strategic financial planning. Your role will require a strong expertise in accounting, taxation (GST & direct tax), compliance, payroll, and banking operations, along with the ability to work closely with auditors and internal stakeholders. Key Responsibilities:
Oversee day-to-day accounting operations including AP, AR, and general ledger. - Ensure accurate and timely book closure (monthly/quarterly/annual). - Prepare financial statements, MIS reports, and variance analysis. - Maintain proper documentation and audit trails. - Manage GST filings, returns, reconciliation, and compliance. - Handle TDS, Income Tax filings, and statutory obligations. - Ensure adherence to all regulatory and legal compliances. - Coordinate with consultants for tax assessments and notices. - Oversee payroll processing ensuring accuracy and timeliness. - Manage compliance related to PF, ESI, PT, and other statutory deductions. - Ensure proper filings and reconciliation of payroll-related compliances. - Handle banking operations, payments, and fund management. - Monitor cash flow, working capital, and liquidity planning. - Coordinate with banks for loans, limits, and financial documentation. - Coordinate with internal and external auditors for smooth audits. - Ensure readiness for statutory, tax, and internal audits. - Implement and monitor internal financial controls and processes. - Assist in budget preparation and forecasting. - Track performance against budgets and provide insights. - Support management in financial decision-making. - Work closely with cross-functional teams (HR, operations, procurement). - Provide financial insights to support business strategy and operations. Required Skills & Competencies:
Strong knowledge of Accounting Standards and Financial Reporting. - Expertise in GST, TDS, Income Tax, PF, ESI compliance. - Proficiency in accounting software (Tally/ERP systems) and MS Excel. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Attention to detail and high level of accuracy. - Good communication and stakeholder management skills. Educational Qualification:
Bachelors degree in Commerce (B.Com). - CA Inter / CMA / MBA (Finance) preferred.
