As a Director, Human Resources at Novo Nordisk Global Business Services (GBS) in Bangalore, India, your role will involve:
Acting as a strategic partner to the Vice President & Managing Director, GBS and other functional leaders on all HR matters. - Developing and implementing the People Strategy for GBS, ensuring alignment with site and functional needs. - Shaping and fostering a culture of purpose, passion, and pride within GBS. - Driving operational excellence in HR processes and systematically planning and delivering impactful HR initiatives. - Ensuring compliance with local labour laws, Novo Nordisk Way, and Business Ethics in all people life-cycle processes. - Leading and managing the GBS HR team, with responsibility for people and budget. - Partnering with Centres of Excellence (CoEs) and HQ Function HR Partners to ensure seamless service delivery and effective communication. Qualifications required for this role include:
Masters degree in human resources or related fields from a reputable institute. Additional relevant certifications/specializations (e.g., organisational development, labour law, leadership, HR analytics, change management) are an advantage. - Minimum 15 years of progressive HR experience with proven tenure at senior HR leadership level (HR Director/Head of HR) in large, matrixed organisations. - Demonstrable track record in shaping and developing culture, leading end-to-end people-lifecycle processes, and delivering process optimizations that meet business goals. - Proven ability to balance process rigor with people-centric leadership. - Excellent senior stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, with experience partnering with executive leadership and business units to translate strategy into people solutions. - Emotional intelligence, with strong coaching, mentoring, facilitation, and change-communication capabilities. - Strong ethical values and a genuine care for people.
