Functional Architect - System Design

Key Responsibilities:

• Define functional system design across Education, Commerce, Industrial, and Compliance domains. - Identify and formalize key business objects and their relationships. - Own non-functional requirements such as scalability, reliability, security, compliance, and performance. - Translate domain-specific language into functional specifications for engineering. - Establish shared vocabulary, data contracts, and design patterns across all sectors. - Lead architecture reviews, create domain models, and define integration patterns. - Own a comprehensive non-functional requirement register from project inception. - Develop canonical data models for interoperability and design shared solutions. - Serve as the functional authority in cross-functional meetings and facilitate domain modeling workshops. - Design AI-ready architectures and evaluate AI/ML tooling for fit within each domain. Qualifications:

• Started as a Technical Architect and transitioned into a Functional Architect. - Demonstrated AI-Native mindset and experience in creating domain models and functional specifications. - Proven track record in owning and enforcing non-functional requirements. - Comfortable working across multiple business domains and strong communicator. - Proficient in API design, data modeling, cloud architecture, microservices, and AI/ML infrastructure. - Skilled in business process modeling, NFR frameworks, stakeholder facilitation, and ADRs.
